Detective Pikachu - Early Concept Art

I had the pleasure of working on Pokemon way back in the early stages of development at Aaron Sims Creative.
As some of you may know early on they had Danny Devito picked for casting as Pika, and the Initial Designs from RJ Palmer had that in mind , which ultimately was reworked to get the final beautiful product that is on screen!
I was tasked with building them out in 3D for conceptual visualization , matching his concepts in those respects.
Had alot of fun working on this film in that early stage, as Pokemon played a huge part in my childhood.
Really pleased with how the film turned out and thankful to be a part of its early development!

Early Concept work based on the initial direction from RJ Palmer's concept , with a bit of my own direction in there. Ultimately they wanted to push to match RJ's work 1 to 1.

After revisions of RJ's work - matching the direction closer.
